SHAH ALAM, 8 APRIL 2025 \u2014 Panasonic Manufacturing Malaysia Berhad (\u201cPMMA\u201d or \u201cthe Company\u201d) wishes to inform that official notification from Gas Malaysia Energy and Services Sdn Bhd regarding the resumption of gas supply to the affected areas, including both our manufacturing plants in Shah Alam has been received advising that the supply interruption is now expected to continue until 20 April 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The gas supply disruption is expected to have an impact on the production of fan and electric iron products, resulting in an estimated loss of revenue of approximately 3% based on total revenue for the last financial year. In response, PMMA has activated its business continuity plan and implemented contingency measures to sustain critical operations for these products to ensure that the supply chain disruptions are minimal. The operations of the other products, i.e. vacuum cleaner, home shower and others are not affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are proactively managing potential disruptions to our supply chain and customer deliveries\u201d said Mr. Takashi Sugihara, Managing Director of PMMA. \u201cWe have implemented robust measures to minimise operational impact and are exploring alternative sources of gas supply to ensure we continue fulfilling our commitments. We aim to recover the loss of revenue once operations are normalized.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
